Yellow wildflowers in Stanley | Southern Idaho Landscape Fine Art Print
This canvas print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with only a clear protective finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. An additional image shows the framed print hung on a wall with other furniture, to give a sense of size and scale of the finished artwork. Available also as a print only, in three optional sizes and materials.
One social media viewer commented on this photo saying, "everyone stops here for a picture." Perhaps this is true, but I can certainly see why! On the highway between Stanley and the Iron Creek Trailhead, there is a wide spot to pull out, with a fantastic view of the mountains, and the fence line so common in the Stanley area. The fence has a lot of character, but what caught my attention there was the endless carpet of yellow wildflowers! There were a few other colors mixed in, but the yellow was striking, and worth shooting a few photos. The clouds by that time of the afternoon had increased quite a lot, and some of the surrounding areas got some thunderstorms. I like how the sun lit up the clouds around it and cast a glow on the mountains in the background. I was able to combine three exposures to capture the range of light in the scene, and by doing so was able to capture the contrasting lighting in the sky. This may be a commonly shot location along the road, but the lighting and flowers made this one a special treat!
