Horizontal orientation. Canvas prints are available with optional barnwood or hardwood floating frames hand-crafted by the photographer, making a truly unique and one-of-a-kind piece of art. Please see images for details.
The temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are built to the highest standards of architecture and construction and are each a beautiful work of art. They are one of my favorite photography subjects because they are lighted beautifully at night, and are magnificent at sunrise, sunset, or even at midday. The Twin Falls temple is only about a half mile from the popular Canyon Rim Trail in Twin Falls and is visible from parts of the trail. One evening in May 2026 I was biking the trail with my camera backpack, looking for sunset moments and subjects. The sunset colors were reaching their peak as I was nearing the temple, and so I decided to ride over toward it to see what opportunities I could find for a good photo. If I positioned myself with the temple to the left side of the frame, the sun was almost still visible just to the right, and the yellow and orange colors were prominent, while the purple and pink colors were just above and to the left. I stood across the street, on top of a utility vault box to get as high as possible and took several shots from this position. The sky was changing rapidly, and each image turned out quite different, even from the same vantage point.
