Seastacks and fog at La Push Second Beach | Western Washington Landscape Fine Art Print

from $75.00

Horizontal orientation.

Several years ago, I convinced my wife to camp overnight on the sand at La Push Second Beach in Washington. She isn't a camper, but she loves the ocean, and we had a great time! While exploring the beach at low tide that evening, I was able to walk along the beach for what seemed like miles, and the whole time the conditions were unusually clear with just a little fog rolling in. As the evening set in, the sunset bathed the outcropping coastline and sea stacks in warm yellow light. The fog rolled in occasionally, engulfing trees in the background. I was fascinated with the reflections on the beach as the ocean water receded and was excited to be able to capture it in this image. I have been back to visit Second Beach several times but never have enjoyed such clear conditions and beautiful sunset light like that evening in August.
