from $75.00

Horizontal orientation. This canvas print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with only a clear protective finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Available also as a print only, in three optional sizes and materials.

This gorgeous little waterfall below Upper Salmon Falls in Hagerman is a favorite of mine to photograph. It is beautiful during every season of the year, and I have enjoyed capturing snow falling there in wintertime, and summer sunrises as well. This year on my birthday I chose this location to spend the morning doing one of my favorite activities. I stopped first at the old Owsley Bridge and took several night images and first light shots. Then I hiked to this area, simply called “Fall Hole,” because of the many waterfalls along this short stretch of the Snake. The falls in this image only drop about 4-6 feet but extend nearly the full width of the river. Using a slow exposure caused the water to become smooth as silk, while the swirling misty water below the falls reflected the soft colors in the sky. I was able to find these flowering purple loosestrife plants to place in the foreground, with the falls in the midground and sunrise colors in the background. For me, this image evokes a very peaceful and calm feeling, and it was a magnificent way to spend a birthday!
