Percival Landing is a marina on the Budd Inlet of the Puget Sound. The Olympia Yacht Club members and others boat owners dock here, and occasionally there are events such as the wooden boat show, and tall ships festival. The surrounding area is a public park, and one can walk down on the docks and see the boats close-up. On this calm and tranquil June evening, I watched the sun set over the bay and captured this image of the surface of the water reflecting the boats and their masts like a mirror. In the distance, there is a faint, hazy outline of several peaks in the Olympic Mountain range. The tranquil atmosphere was peaceful and comforting, and time stood still as the sun dropped below the tree line and darkness set in. This image brings back the smell of the salty humid air and evokes serenity and pure peace each time I see it.
