Peach Orchard in Bloom | Southern Idaho Landscape Fine Art Print

from $75.00

Horizontal orientation.

Tucked away in the Snake River Canyon South of Wendell Idaho is Kelley’s Canyon Orchard, an orchard and flower farm that has been family owned for four generations. The Orchards are directly across the river from Niagara Springs and Crystal Springs, where spring water flows from the river canyon walls year-round. Niagara Springs is one of 5 sections of Thousand Springs State Park, and it is bordered by a wildlife management area as well. There is a lot of natural beauty in one rather small area, but in the early spring these peach tree blossoms are some of the earliest flowers to bloom, and they certainly steal the show! We have had a couple of unusually warm weeks this March, and the trees have bloomed earlier than normal. I had heard that the peach trees were blooming, and as I planned photo excursions during my spring break, I included this orchard on my list to visit. As I approached the orchards, the sunrise was reaching its peak colors, and I was tempted to find another subject to shoot with the sunrise…afraid I would not reach the orchards in time. The colors lasted quite long however, and I was able to capture several images of the blossoms with the sunrise as a backdrop.
