Old Barn with Setting Sun | Southern Idaho Landscape Fine Art Print
This canvas print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with only a clear protective finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. An additional image shows the framed print hung on a wall with other furniture, to give a sense of size and scale of the finished artwork. Available also as a print only, in three optional sizes and materials.
On an early September evening, I took a drive toward Buhl Idaho to see some of the old barns in the area and the rural farmland at harvest time. Much of the wheat had already been harvested, although the corn was still tall and green. After stopping at the old Rudolf Kunze barn and a nearby irrigation pond and ditches beside the roadway that were surrounded by wild sunflowers and other beautiful grasses and flowers, I headed back toward Twin Falls. While driving along E 3900 N, I saw an old barn along the side of the road that I have passed by before but looked quite beautiful with the sun setting behind it. I didn’t really want to include the newer home in the photo, but the colorful sunset was a must, so I opted to keep the house in the image and show the contrast between the new home and the historic old barn. The sunset was fantastic, and the clouds and sky keep one’s focus on the old barn.
