Fall Colors on the Snake River | Southern Idaho Landscape Fine Art
Horizontal orientation. This canvas print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with only a clear protective finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Available also as a print only, in three optional sizes and materials.
This fall has been exceptionally beautiful and lasting, with leaves reaching peak color several weeks apart. In the first week of November, I set out to photograph a beautiful area along the Snake River near Niagara Springs State Park and Wildlife Management Area. Trees line the river here, making it difficult to get to the riverbank, but worth climbing through the thorny brambles and think brush. I found a spot along the shoreline where there were some rocks near enough to one another that I could hop from one to another to get an ideal vantage point. The sun was just high enough to cast a golden glow on the fully turned leaves on the trees, and to create a fantastic reflection on the calm water. Everywhere I explored was so beautiful that I was thrilled to be out, but this image represents well the awe-inspiring wonder of the scenery.
