Enchanted Falls View | Southern Idaho Landscape Fine Art Print

from $75.00

This print, framed in an 11×14 barn wood frame with a dark Jacobean stain finish hand crafted by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Available also as print only without frame, in three optional sizes and materials.

This gorgeous little waterfall below Upper Salmon Falls in Hagerman is a favorite of mine to photograph. It is beautiful during every season of the year, and I have enjoyed capturing snow falling there in wintertime, and summer sunrises as well, but I think fall is perhaps my favorite season to visit. During autumn the trees and brush turn shades of red, brown and gold, and in the golden hours of morning or evening, the colors are rich and vibrant. The falls here only drop about 4-6 feet but extend nearly the full width of the river. Using a slow exposure causes the water to become smooth as silk, while the swirling misty water below the falls resembles the soft clouds in the sky. Using a very small aperture helped smooth out the water and kept the plants in the foreground sharp, while many elements in both the midground and background of this image are softer and dreamy. For me, this evokes a very peaceful and calm feeling and brings back to my mind the smells of the crisp fall air, and turning leaves.
