This magnificent waterfall along Box Canyon is a real gem! The water flows straight from a natural spring about a half mile before the falls, and the water has a strong blue hue as it flows through the canyon. This hue matched the blue of the sky on that July morning, as the sun was just beginning to crest the top of the falls. The trail passes close by the top of the falls, and then drops down steeply beside the falls, so one can get up close and personal! On a bright clear day, it is difficult to see the color, but it was a little cloudy on the morning I took this image, and the lighting was quite nice. It tends to get hot very quickly in July in the canyon, and shortly after taking photos of the falls, I started back up the trail up the side of the canyon. It is a steep climb, pretty rough, but worth the effort even if just for this waterfall.
