Autumn Gold and Green | Southern Idaho Landscape Fine Art Print
Horizontal orientation. This canvas print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with only a clear protective finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Available also as a print only, in three optional sizes and materials.
Last year, I completely missed the fall colors in the South Hills, not realizing how much sooner they turn than the trees down in town. This year, on the first weekend in October, I headed up to the hills with eagerness for the fall colors. As I drove up a dirt road, the fog settled in very thickly, and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get any photos. As it started to get light, rain started to drizzle. I haven’t done a lot of shooting in rain, and it didn’t occur to me to wipe the lens dry before each shot, so the rain on my lens ruined about half of the photos I took. Luckily, I was able to salvage some of my favorite shots from the morning. This photo, taken alongside the trail at Eagle Loop, is one of my favorites. The mist and rain brought out the gold and yellow colors of the Aspen leaves, which contrasted beautifully with the evergreen trees.
