Images show an optional hand-crafted barn wood frame for a 12×18 canvas print.
On September 11th each year, a special volunteer committee with the assistance of the Twin Falls Police and Fire Departments hold a commemorative event and display an enormous US flag in front of the Perrine Bridge. The event honors those who volunteered in rescue efforts, and those who passed away in the attack. The view of the bridge over the Snake River canyon is already spectacular on any given day, but the view of the flag flying is such an inspiration. On the evening of 9/11, I had the honor of directing the Magic Valley Children's Chorus in singing two songs for the event, and afterward I drove down to the Mogensen Trailhead, and hiked down to the river's edge to get some photos of the magnificent flag display. The water was calmer than usual, and mirrored beautifully the canyon walls, bridge and flag. The scene was so peaceful that I couldn't help but stay for a while taking it all in. This image was captured about 8:00pm, after the sun had mostly set, yet the flag was still clearly lit and inspiring.
