Perrine Bridge Sunrise after a stormy evening | Southern Idaho Landscape Fine Art Print
This print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with traces of the original vintage red paint sealed with a protective finish, created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. An additional image shows the framed print hung on a wall with other furniture, to give a sense of size and scale of the finished artwork. Available also as a print only without frame, in three optional sizes and materials.
The Canyon Rim Trail in Twin Falls Idaho is a popular paved walking trail stretching about 7 miles along the edge of the Snake River Canyon. I enjoy early morning walks, for fitness and the beauty of local sunrises. That morning, I had put on sweats and had almost decided not to bring the camera and just get some exercise. It had been rather stormy the previous evening, and the clouds were beginning to break up, but the atmosphere was still heavy with humidity. I walked 2 or 3 miles and turned back, so my back was to the sun. Luckily, I turned to look at the view again and saw the sun cresting the canyon rim. I was at a location along the trail where from my perspective the Perrine Bridge was about level with the horizon, and the sun was peering over both. The low clouds were almost touching the horizon as well, leaving just a very narrow space for a streak of golden yellow sunrise. I was so excited by the view, and in such a hurry to capture it that I failed to notice that I had turned the autofocus off for some previous shooting. Luckily, I noticed before ruining every shot, but I only ended up with just this one before the conditions changed. I guess I can count my blessings that I got at least one that morning!
