I often prefer to photograph wildflowers in the mountain areas of Idaho, but as the roses began blooming in full force in Twin Falls this past May, I resolved to make a visit to the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) campus to see the flowers and the rose garden there. While walking across the campus to the rose garden, I noticed several planting beds on the campus with many different beautiful flowers and plants. As I approached the fence in this image, I noticed lavender blooming all around the fence. The contrast caught my eye, and I very much enjoyed this scene of the lavender against the fence and landscape rocks. Someone had a magnificent plan when they designed the gardens on campus.
