I often prefer to photograph wildflowers in the mountain areas of Idaho, but as the roses began blooming in full force in Twin Falls this past May, I resolved to make a visit to the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) campus to see the flowers and the rose garden there. As I was walking across the campus to the rose garden, I noticed several flowerbeds on the campus, including a beautiful yellow rose bush where I shot this image. The morning light was still soft, and fell beautifully on the flowers. I got many gorgeous shots of roses in the garden, but this is perhaps my favorite from that day.
