"Camas Lilies at Centennial Marsh" 12x18 canvas print framed in a hand crafted barn wood frame

from $75.00

This print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with an antique white stain finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. An additional image shows the framed print hung on a wall with other furniture, to give a sense of size and scale of the finished artwork. Available also as a print only without frame, in three optional sizes and materials.

The beautiful Camas Lilies near the Centennial Marsh Wildlife Management Area bloom for a brief length of time each spring, from about the last week of May until the second week of June. In full bloom, they blanket the areas surrounding the Centennial Marsh with a sea of purple. The blooms last for a fleeting period but are well worth capturing in a photo, to become a permanent memoir of a serene experience. In the moment that this photo was captured, the water was still and calm, and the only sounds that could be heard were the calls of the myriads of birds that reside in the marsh. The majestic Soldier Mountains in the background stood strong and bold, unfolding into green foothills that merged gracefully into the marsh, creating the perfect backdrop for the blanket of purple lilies. Although the fence and water prevent one from approaching the flowers, they add their own beauty as they guard the delicate lilies. The magnificence of the blooming lilies lasts for just weeks, but the essence of the experience is captured forever in this image.
