"Delicate Arch Sunrise, Arches National Park" 12x18 canvas print framed in a hand crafted barn wood frame
This print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with a weathered gray stain finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. An additional image shows the framed print hung on a wall with other furniture, to give a sense of size and scale of the finished artwork. Available also as a print only without frame, in three optional sizes and materials.
Arches National Park is located just outside of Moab in southern Utah. On our way back from visiting a daughter in Colorado, my wife and I stayed in Moab and visited the park. My wife slept in while I went out before dawn to catch the sunrise at Delicate Arch. I hiked in the pitch black of night with my trail guide on my phone, and a headlamp, and lost the trail a couple of times along the way. When I arrived, I found about 30 other people there who had done the same thing or spent the night there! Everyone seemed content to set up their cameras at the trail or just sit and watch the sunrise. I on the other hand am fond of finding all sorts of viewpoints, and I climbed and wandered all over the area taking many photos while others just waited. I suppose they got the shots they were planning for, but I really enjoyed all the different perspectives I was able to get from my scrambling around. This image captures the golden sunlight falling on the La Sal Mountains in the distance, as well as the light striking the beautiful reds and pinks of the rock in both the arch and the canyon below.
