"Centennial Park in Winter" 12x18 canvas print framed in a hand crafted barn wood frame

from $75.00

This print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with an antique white stain finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. An additional image shows the framed print hung on a wall with other furniture, to give a sense of size and scale of the finished artwork. Available also as a print only without frame, in three optional sizes and materials.

One of my favorite locations to shoot from is this shoreline at Centennial Park in Twin Falls. This area is at the base of some sheer cliffs, and there is just enough rock at the base to walk along if the water level in the river is low. The rocks in the foreground in this image are under water during much of the spring and summer. The view of the Perrine Bridge is hard to beat from this perspective, and the river widens after going under the bridge, so it typically slows down and becomes calmer. I love capturing the calm still water reflecting the trees on the shoreline and the bridge in the distance, and I love the rock shapes in the foreground as well. On this January morning, we had gotten a little snow to dust some spots, and the sunlight was beginning to show yellow through the canyon. The colors of the brush were rich and reflected vibrantly in the water. The serenity of this beautiful morning was welcome after a busy month of preparation and presentation of music programs for the school families. The bustle of the holidays was over, and a new year just beginning. What an unbeatable way to begin it!
