"Enchanted Falls Sunrise" 12x18 canvas print framed in a hand crafted barn wood frame
This print, framed in a natural barn wood frame with a white stained finish created by the photographer, is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. An additional image shows the framed print hung on a wall with other furniture, to give a sense of size and scale of the finished artwork. Available also as a print only without frame, in three optional sizes and materials.
This gorgeous little waterfall is located below Upper Salmon Falls in an area simply called “Fall hole” in Hagerman. It is an area with half a dozen different waterfalls, some small and some rather large and spectacular. The location is a favorite of mine to photograph. It is beautiful during every season of the year, and I have enjoyed capturing snow falling there in wintertime, and summer sunrises as well, but I think fall is perhaps my favorite season to visit. During autumn the trees and brush turn shades of red, brown and gold, and in the golden hours of morning or evening, the colors are rich and vibrant. The falls here only drop about 4-6 feet but extend nearly the full width of the river. This image was taken in late November, after the leaves had all fallen, and before sunrise. Typically, during the “blue hour” the atmosphere has varying shades of blue, but on this morning the hues were delightfully violet and mauve. An 8-second exposure caused the water to become smooth as silk, and caught all of the soft colors. For me, this evokes a very peaceful and serene feeling that causes life’s troubles to feel insignificant for a few moments.
