"Sunrise Reflection at Centennial Park" 16x24 metal print

from $75.00

This 16×24 metal print is available in three optional sizes and materials.

Centennial Waterfront Park in Twin Falls is located on Canyon Springs Road, which winds down into the Snake River canyon near the Perrine Bridge. The park is one of the most popular in Twin Falls, and has kayak rentals, pavilions, a pond, boat launch, and riverfront access. One of the park trails leads to the base of some sheer cliffs with a few rocks along the bottom. They are covered in water when the river runs fully in the summertime, but as the water levels decrease the rocks are accessible, and one can walk on them along the shoreline. One morning in early August, I saw that the weather report indicated some clouds, which generally makes for a more picturesque sunrise. I arrived before the park opened, so I parked near the gate and hiked to the cliff tops for some sunrise photos. After sunrise, the clouds formed into smaller puffs like cotton balls, and the reflection in the river was spectacular. I found a steep pathway down to this point in the park and got several shots of the incredible cloud reflections in the river. This image included the sun just cresting over the horizon and is my favorites from this outing.
