"Creek and Wildflowers above Lake Cleveland" 16x24 metal print

from $75.00

This 16×24 metal print is available in three optional sizes and materials.

One of the more popular attractions in southern Idaho, near the summit of Mount Harrison in the Albion Mountain range, is Lake Cleveland. The first time I went to explore the area, I was too early in the season and the roads were closed. I was able to walk in, but the snow still covered much of the area, and there were few wildflowers. I made a second trip in mid-July, and the wildflowers were spectacular! I managed to get some sunrise pictures on the lake and then hiked up alongside the creek that feeds the lake. The flowers were more numerous than I had ever seen in one area, and everywhere I turned seemed like it was photo-worthy. This image of the creek above the lake features Idaho Bluebells alongside the creek, and Indian paintbrush and penstemon in the distance. The sun was just cresting the tops of the trees, casting rays of gold across the flowers and rocks. I was able to get quite a few nice shots that morning, but few turned out as spectacular as this one.
